These bento-shaped wooden toys are made of wood from the forests of Hiroshima.
The company is made by hand, one by one, with care and attention, by an all-woman company, which is rare for a woodworking factory. Using only some domestic paints that have passed the Food Sanitation Law, these toys are packed with the texture, aroma, and gentleness of wood, and are popular as birthday gifts and interior decorations.
To convey not only the culture of wood, but also the Japanese lunch box culture, we packed them in a traditional bento box, wappa, with a rubber band with a mizuhiki design and a traditional bento box.
It contains an onigiri (Japanese cypress), a plum rice ball (Japanese cypress), a hamburger steak (Magnolia), two tamagoyaki (Japanese cypress), a mini tomato (Japanese cypress), and lettuce (felt). We use Japanese cypress and cedar canna ribbons as cushioning material, which can also be used as drying material when packed in the sachet bags.
In order to reduce environmental impact, we use wood that has been artificially dried as little as possible and dried naturally.

Ichiibamokko is a 55-year-old woodworking company run entirely by women in rural Hiroshima, Japan.
Products are designed to be low environmental impact and sustainable, based on the idea of life cycle assessment in all products since 2013.
We offer a maintenance program after purchase and a cycle in which our products are collected instead of discarded and reborn as new toys even after they are no longer needed.
We use naturally dried and unpainted wood as much as possible, in the hope that people of all ages can feel the differences in color, weight, and aroma of each species of wood using all five senses. When painting, we use domestic natural paints that comply with the Food Sanitation Law.
We emphasize the traceability of the wood we use, and together with our president, who is a Professional Engineer (Forest/Forest Products), we are researching the use of unused satoyama wood and drying methods, and at the same time, creating sustainable products.
