“Snakes in the Sacred Forest”, 2024,

This artwork depicts a mystical forest with a snake. The trees sway gently, rocks line the path, a stream flows quietly, and a stone lantern stands distantly. A golden white snake, symbolizing the 2025 Japanese zodiac, moves through the forest. The setting is inspired by the sacred grove behind Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.

緑豊かな森に蛇が佇む神秘的な様子を描きました。木々がゆっくりと揺れ、つるつるした岩が並び、小川が静かに流れ、奥には石灯籠が見えます。森の中を黄金に輝く白蛇が静かに行き交い、神聖さと静謐さが漂います。蛇は来年2025年の干支です。森のモチーフは太宰府天満宮の裏手にある鎮守の森です。

“Picture frame”, 2024, Mizuhiki,

This piece features intricately woven mizuhiki (decorative Japanese cord made from twisted paper), 

designed with the concept of a frame or a painting mat. The suspended mizuhiki　structure creates a frame that emphasizes the background visible through the central space like a window onto a landscape. The delicate weave allows light to harmonize with the surrounding environment and enhances its beauty.

水引を編んで、額縁、絵画のマットを意識した作品を作りました。吊り下げられた水引の緻密な構造が特徴です。中央の空間から見える背景が強調され、風景を切り取る額縁のような効果を引き起こします。同時に、繊細な編み目が光を透過し、周囲の環境と調和した美しさを生み出します。
