My painting series “The Gap” is a series that focuses on having two completely different
tones that contrast each other. The first painting being vibrant colors while the second is more
warm muted hues, however both create a sense of rhythm, movement, and energy. The cool
toned painting focuses on vibrant hues such as dynamic blues, fiery reds, and orange,
accompanied by the black and white gap which was created by using fluid art paint. The
background was created by using a peg-board as a stencil to create the small circles that
provide the painting with depth. Spray paint was used to create this faded effect in the painting.
The same process was done for the second painting with minor details changed by adding
colors that are part of the painting’s background to the black and white gap. Colors used in the
second painting included deeper reds, softer orange, and saturated forest green. The warmer
toned painting was inspired by autumnal colors while the cooler toned painting was inspired by
the summer equinox. These paintings were created to add color and movement to a space
which can invite the viewer to feel energized and ready for productivity.
私の絵画シリーズ「The Gap」は、全く異なるトーンが対比されることに焦点を当てたシリーズです。最初の絵は鮮やかな色合いで、2番目は温かみのある muted な色調ですが、どちらもリズム、動き、エネルギーを感じさせます。クールトーンの絵は、ダイナミックな青、燃えるような赤、オレンジなどの鮮やかな色を中心に、流動的なアートペイントを使用して作られた黒と白のギャップが特徴です。背景には、ペグボードをステンシルとして使用し、小さな円を作り出し、絵に深みを与えています。スプレーペイントを使用して、このフェード効果を絵に加えました。
2番目の絵では同じプロセスを繰り返し、背景の色を黒と白のギャップに追加することで、細かい変更が加えられています。使用した色は、深みのある赤、柔らかいオレンジ、そして飽和したフォレストグリーンです。暖かいトーンの絵は秋の色に触発され、クールトーンの絵は夏至に触発されました。
これらの絵は、空間に色と動きを加え、観客が活力を感じ、仕事に対する意欲を持って迎えるような空間を作り出すことを目指して作られました。
